“Rich Moneybags,” a children’s Chanukah show, debuts Dec. 11

“Rich Moneybags: A Chanukah Story,” a Jewish themed interactive game show for children, will be performed on Sunday, December 11, at 3 p.m. at the Katz JCC in Margate. Admission is $10 per family, in advance, $15 at the door. The program is being presented by PJ Library inAtlantic County in partnership with Mainstages.

Rich Moneybags is about a boy (named Rich) who gets anything that he wants. One Chanukah, he gets a pony, a racecar, and a pancake machine…and that’s just the first night! Rich thought that fancy toys and shiny presents would make him happy forever, but when he can’t get the one video game he wants most of all, he changes his views on what really matters most.

Mainstages Storybook Theater brings this story to life using puppetry, storytelling, and performance. The program will also feature the PJ Library book “Ella’s Trip to Israel.” Children will be asked to create wacky characters, explore their bodies, and get involved in the story! The result will be an energetic, fast-paced connection to Jewish values and identity.

For more information or to RSVP, contact PJ Library at (609) 822-1854.
