Politz Day School will host its 5th annual Panoply evening, a multimedia trivia night in which teams of eight to 10 players compete against each other on a wide variety of topics, including pop culture, geography, sports and general knowledge. The event incorporates taste testing, video clips and other sensory challenges as part of the competition. The team with the greatest number of correct answers after three rounds wins. Players can create their own teams and experience the event that has become a true sensation in America, Canada, Israel and beyond.
In the last five years, Panoply has caught on in South Jersey and is now a popular event with the community at large, selling out in record time.
“The great thing about this game,” said Caryn Hurlock, one of this year’s Politz Panoply planners, “is that you don’t have to be a genius to play. The questions are a mix of fun facts and pop culture, combining things that most people already know. The trick is to build a team with lots of people who know lots of different things. It’s really a fun bonding experience for any family, group of friends or office.”
This fast-paced and entertaining event will be held Saturday, Feb. 4 at 8 p.m. at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill. Tickets are $36 per person and include a kosher Chinese Buffet (BYOB). Participants must be 21 years old to attend. Both individual players and teams of 8-10 can purchase tickets.
Open to the entire community, Politz Panoply is sure to appeal to all. In addition to the game, there will be an opportunity to participate in an auction for fabulous prizes, including gift baskets, Flyers tickets, shopping sprees, and a “split the pot.” Proceeds from Panoply directly support Politz Day School, allowing every child the opportunity to learn about their Jewish heritage and culture. The evening is generously sponsored by Advocare Grove Family Medical Associates. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available.
