For the past 20 years, the Jewish Community Foundation, Inc. has hosted a Florida Reunion during the winter, when many “snowbirds and snowflakes” from Southern New Jersey descend upon Southeastern Florida to escape the cold Northern weather.
This year, the JCF is excited to partner with the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey and the Jewish Community Foundation of Atlantic & Cape May Counties for an engaging get-together of SNJ natives. It’s a great chance for snowbirds to reunite with longtime friends from SNJ, as well as meet new ones.
On Monday, Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the 20th Annual Florida Reunion will be held at Temple Beth El in Boca Raton, the largest synagogue in the Boca area.
Myles Ludwig, an award-winning author, university educator, and professional editor, will lead a hands-on workshop to help attendees with “Writing Your Legacy.” Each participant will have the opportunity to learn from a professional writer about how to write his or her own personal memoir, which can ultimately be shared with children, grandchildren, and other loved ones. This topic has grown rapidly in popularity, and similar courses regularly sell-out. If you are interested in sharing your legacy, your stories, and memories with your family and friends, this is the program for you!
A dairy lunch will be provided. The cost to attend is $36 per person. There will be no solicitation of funds.
